Smart IPTV (SIPTV) is one of the most popular ways to watch IPTV directly on Samsung and LG Smart TVs — no Firestick or Android TV box needed. It also works on Amazon Firestick as a sideloaded app.
This guide covers installation on all three: Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, and Amazon Firestick.
What You Need
- ✓ Samsung Smart TV (Tizen OS), LG Smart TV (webOS), OR Amazon Firestick
- ✓ Apollo Group TV subscription or free trial
- ✓ Your Apollo Group TV M3U playlist URL
- ✓ Your Apollo Group TV EPG XML URL (for TV guide)
- ✓ A device with a web browser (phone/PC) for initial M3U setup
Method 1: Smart IPTV on Samsung Smart TV
Most PopularStep 1: Install Smart IPTV from Samsung Smart Hub
- 1Press the Home button on your Samsung remote.
- 2Navigate to 'Apps' in the Smart Hub.
- 3Search for 'Smart IPTV' in the app search bar.
- 4Select and install Smart IPTV.
- 5When prompted, complete the CA$6.49 one-time in-app purchase.
- 6Open Smart IPTV — you'll see your TV's MAC address on screen. Note it down.
Step 2: Add Your M3U Playlist via siptv.app
- 1On your phone or PC, open a browser and go to siptv.app.
- 2Enter your Samsung TV's MAC address in the field provided.

💡 Tip: Your M3U and EPG URLs are in your Apollo Group TV WhatsApp activation message.
Method 2: Smart IPTV on LG Smart TV (webOS)
- 1Press the Home button on your LG Magic Remote.
- 2Navigate to 'LG Content Store'.
- 3Search for 'Smart IPTV' in the store.
- 4Install Smart IPTV (CA$6.49 one-time purchase on LG store).

- 7Add your Apollo Group TV M3U URL and EPG URL.
- 8Click Submit and reload Smart IPTV on your LG TV.
- 9All channels and EPG will load within 1–2 minutes.
Method 3: Smart IPTV on Amazon Firestick (Sideload)
Smart IPTV is not in the Amazon App Store. On Firestick, you sideload the APK using the Downloader app. For most Firestick users, we recommend TiviMate instead — but Smart IPTV is a viable free alternative.
- 1Enable 'Apps from Unknown Sources' in Firestick Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options.
- 2Install the Downloader app from the Amazon App Store (search 'Downloader').
- 3Open Downloader and enter the Smart IPTV APK download URL (available via a web search for 'Smart IPTV APK download').
- 4Install the APK when the download completes.
- 5Open Smart IPTV and note your Firestick's MAC address.
- 6On your phone or PC, go to siptv.app and add your M3U and EPG URLs linked to that MAC address.
- 7Reload Smart IPTV on Firestick to load all channels.
Prefer native Xtream Codes login on Firestick? Use TiviMate instead — it's more feature-rich for Firestick.
Smart IPTV Troubleshooting
❓ Channels not loading after setup
Close Smart IPTV completely, wait 30 seconds, and reopen. On Samsung, press and hold the Smart IPTV icon and select 'Reload' or close and reopen the app from Smart Hub.
❓ MAC address not recognised on siptv.app
Make sure you're entering the MAC address shown in the Smart IPTV app on your TV exactly as displayed (format: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX). Some characters can look similar — double-check each digit.
❓ EPG not showing channel guide
EPG data loads in 5–10 minutes after adding the EPG URL. Close and reopen Smart IPTV after a few minutes. Ensure your EPG URL ends in .xml or .xml.gz — contact Apollo Group TV support to confirm the correct URL.
❓ SIPTV not found in Samsung Smart Hub
Smart IPTV availability varies by Samsung TV region settings. If not found in the Canadian region, you may need to switch your TV's region to a country where SIPTV is available. Contact our support for alternative setup methods.
❓ Video playing but no sound
Check your TV's audio output settings. In Smart IPTV settings, try switching the audio track. Some channels have multiple audio tracks — select the English one from the audio menu.
