Smart IPTV (SIPTV) is a playlist player app for LG and Samsung smart TVs, Android TV and Amazon Firestick, with no channels of its own. You install the app, open it to read the device's MAC address or device ID, then upload your M3U playlist and EPG link against it on siptv.app. The Smart IPTV trial is free; after it, the developer charges a one-time activation fee per TV or device. There is no activation code: activation is tied to the device.

Method 1: Smart IPTV on Samsung Smart TV
Check the Samsung store first, but expect to look further: the developer's FAQ says the app can no longer be found in the Samsung Apps Store and links to its own install instructions for Samsung TVs. Step 1: Install Smart IPTV on the Samsung TV
- 1Press the Home button on your Samsung remote and open Apps.
- 2Search for Smart IPTV; if it is not listed, follow the install instructions linked from the siptv.app FAQ.
- 3Open Smart IPTV — you'll see your TV's MAC address on screen. Note it down.
- 4When the trial ends, activate the TV through SmartPay.tv in the app or on the siptv.app activation page.
Step 2: Add Your M3U Playlist via siptv.app
- 1On your phone or PC, open a browser and go to siptv.app.
- 2Enter your Samsung TV's MAC address in the field provided.
- 3In the 'M3U URL' field, paste your Apollo Group TV M3U playlist URL.
- 4In the 'EPG URL' field, paste your Apollo Group TV EPG XML URL.
- 5Click 'Submit' or 'Save'.
- 6On your Samsung TV, press the Home button in Smart IPTV — channels load automatically.

Method 2: Smart IPTV on LG Smart TV (webOS)
- 1Press the Home button on your LG Magic Remote.
- 2Navigate to 'LG Content Store'.
- 3Search for 'Smart IPTV' in the store and install it.
- 4Open Smart IPTV and note the ID shown: since app version 3.0.0, LG TVs show a device ID instead of a MAC address.
- 5On your phone or PC, go to siptv.app and enter that device ID (an older MAC still works if you used one before).
- 6Add your Apollo Group TV M3U URL and EPG URL.
- 7Click Submit and reload Smart IPTV on your LG TV.
- 8When the trial ends, activate the TV through SmartPay.tv in the app.
Method 3: Smart IPTV on Amazon Firestick (Sideload)
Smart IPTV is not in the Amazon App Store. On Firestick, you sideload the APK using the Downloader app. This works on Fire OS sticks only: Vega OS models (Fire TV Stick 4K 3rd Gen, 4K Select and HD) cannot install apps from outside the Amazon Appstore. For most Firestick users we recommend TiviMate instead, because it takes an Xtream Codes login; Smart IPTV works too, with the same one-time activation after the trial.
- 1Enable 'Apps from Unknown Sources' in Firestick Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. If Developer Options is not listed, open About, highlight the device name and press Select seven times, then go back.
- 2Install the Downloader app from the Amazon App Store (search 'Downloader').
- 3Open Downloader, go to siptv.app (the developer's official site) and use the APK download link published there; avoid copies found through web searches.
- 4Install the APK when the download completes.
- 5Open Smart IPTV and note your Firestick's MAC address.
- 6On your phone or PC, go to siptv.app and add your M3U and EPG URLs linked to that MAC address.
- 7Reload Smart IPTV on Firestick to load all channels.

How Do the Smart IPTV Trial and Activation Work?
Every new install starts on a free trial. When it ends, each TV or device needs a one-time activation fee paid to the developer, and the playlist you uploaded keeps working once the device is activated. The developer prices activation in euros, so check the amount on siptv.app; it is separate from your IPTV subscription. The developer also says there is no need to wait for the trial to end if everything works.
How you pay depends on where the app came from:
- ▸LG and Samsung TVs: SmartPay.tv inside the app after the trial.
- ▸Installed from Google Play: only inside the app, under Settings → Device Info → Activate. The activation page on siptv.app shows “Use Android In-App Purchase!” for these devices.
- ▸Firestick and other APK installs: the activation page on siptv.app, against the MAC address the app shows.

What Do the siptv.app Upload Errors Mean?
The upload page on siptv.app reports three errors, and each has a specific fix. Read the exact wording before changing anything.

Once your playlist is in place, lock the MAC with a PIN in the app's settings so nobody else can overwrite it. If you only have a server address, username and password, the Converter page on siptv.app turns them into a full playlist URL, or ask us for the M3U link directly.
Why Does Smart IPTV Lose the Playlist After a Restart?
On Android 10 and newer devices running the APK, Wi-Fi can use a randomised MAC address, so the app shows a new MAC after reconnecting and your uploaded playlist no longer matches. The developer also notes that on Android 13 and newer, and for any Google Play install, the app cannot read the MAC at all and uses a temporary device ID, which can change if you reinstall the app or update the firmware.
Where the device offers it, open the Wi-Fi network's settings and choose Use device MAC instead of a randomised MAC under Privacy. A wired Ethernet connection avoids the problem entirely. Smart IPTV Troubleshooting
❓ Channels not loading after setup
Close Smart IPTV completely, wait 30 seconds, and reopen. On Samsung, press and hold the Smart IPTV icon and select 'Reload' or close and reopen the app from Smart Hub.
❓ MAC address not recognised on siptv.app
Make sure you're entering the MAC address shown in the Smart IPTV app on your TV exactly as displayed (format: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX). Some characters can look similar — double-check each digit.
❓ EPG not showing channel guide
EPG data loads in 5–10 minutes after adding the EPG URL. Close and reopen Smart IPTV after a few minutes. Check that your EPG URL finishes with .xml or .xml.gz — contact Apollo Group TV support to confirm the correct URL.
❓ SIPTV not found in Samsung Smart Hub
The developer's FAQ says the app can no longer be found in the Samsung Apps Store and links to its own install instructions. Follow those, or use another player from our Samsung TV guide; our support can help you choose.
❓ Video playing but no sound
Check your TV's audio output settings. In Smart IPTV settings, try switching the audio track. Some channels have multiple audio tracks — select the English one from the audio menu.
