Step 1: Enable Unknown Sources

Install Perfect Player on Android TV and Google TV

Every Perfect Player APK you find now is hosted by a third party.

Add Apollo Group TV M3U Playlist to Perfect Player
- 1Open Perfect Player on your Firestick or Android TV.
- 2On the home screen, long-press the touchpad/select button to open the side menu.

Set to 'Every 24 hours' in Settings → General. This keeps your TV guide current without slowing down the app.

Set your preferred sorting order (by name, group, or number) in Settings → General → Channels Sort.

Perfect Player IPTV Review: Is It Still Worth Using?
Only if it is already installed and working for you. Perfect Player was popular for a reason: it is light enough for older Firesticks, it plays any M3U playlist, and it lets you set the buffer, the decoder and an external player yourself. Those strengths have not changed.
What has changed is upkeep. With no store listing and no developer site, it gets no fixes for new Android and Fire OS versions, and every new install depends on an APK from someone else. It also takes M3U playlists only, so you lose the Xtream Codes login that fills movies, series and catch-up in other players.
For a new setup, TiviMate or XCIPTV is the safer pick: both are on Google Play and both take an Xtream Codes login. We have not tested the APK copies now circulating, so we describe Perfect Player from its last published version rather than score it.
Perfect Player Troubleshooting
❓ Channels not loading
Check your M3U URL is correct. In Perfect Player settings, verify the Playlist URL is entered without extra spaces. Tap Reload in the menu.
❓ EPG not showing
EPG can take 3–10 minutes to load on first run. Verify your EPG URL is correct. Try forcing an EPG update via Settings → General → Update EPG.
❓ Perfect Player buffering

❓ App crashes on Firestick
Clear the Perfect Player app cache: go to Firestick Settings → Applications → Perfect Player → Clear Cache. If crashing persists, reinstall the latest APK version.
❓ Sound but no video (black screen)
Switch the Video Decoder in Settings → Playback from Hardware to Software. This fixes compatibility issues with some channel formats on Firestick.
